Syllabus

    • The syllabus below is the minimum required to be a junior certified.
    • Lessons from previous levels can be used in the successive levels.
    • Students can appear at any level based on their preparedness.
    • The fourth level is mandatory and considered for certification.
    • The certification fourth level is held in-person, currently in the cities of Dallas, Austin, San Jose, and New Jersey.
    • Bhajans: Bhajans should be on the Gods and Goddesses worshipped in Sanatana Dharma. Students can find the sample Bhajans from the Rana Sangeetam book.
    • Students are free to refer to any materials and select compositions of their choice.
    • Since Sangeeta Bharati’s syllabus is Guru and Sampradaya agnostic, students must provide a detailed list of their prepared compositions (including Raga, Tala, Composer, and Language) to the examiner one week before the exam. This list must be emailed as a PDF to exams@sangeetabharati.org. This does not apply to those using Sangeeta Bharati texts.
