Scheduling and Rescheduling

1. Every year, the registration is from Ganesh Chaturthi to Vijayadashami as per the panchanga practiced in North America.
2. The examination will be held on the first two weekends of December.

3. Sangeeta Bharati volunteers will allot a slot considering the availability of a competent examiner for a given level, the student’s commute distance, the number of papers a student appears for the exam, etc., as applicable.
4. Rescheduling will impact the planning and disturb the original scheduling, which was made with much effort and consideration. Hence, rescheduling is not encouraged. In unavoidable circumstances, rescheduling can be requested for a fee of $25 per occurrence.

5. Note that the rescheduling is not always guaranteed. When rescheduling is not possible, we issue a refund of the rescheduling fee. In this case, students can either try to attend the exam in the given schedule or proceed with the options provided in the section “Cancellation and Holding”.

6. All rescheduling requests must be made at least two weeks before the examination using the link https://sangeetabharati.org/examinations/rescheduling-reactivating/.

7. The written test will be on December’s first or second weekends. This test cannot be rescheduled.

Cancellation and Holding

1. If a student cannot attend the examination, he/she can request registration cancellation for a convenience fee of $50. Or can request to hold the registration for one year for a convenience fee of $10. But, the holding needs to be reactivated in the following year with a convenience fee of $15.

2. All cancellation or holding requests must be made at least two weeks before the examination using the link https://sangeetabharati.org/examinations/rescheduling-reactivating/.

3. If the cancellation/holding is not requested on time and a student doesn’t show up for the exam, there won’t be any refund, and the registration becomes void.
